Natural Resource Management
CONNECT has worked with over 100 communities across Tanzania to strengthen local governance systems for managing forests, water sources, and wildlife habitats. Communities now lead their own conservation committees and develop locally-owned management plans.
Inclusive Participation
70% of our program participants are women, youth, and persons with disabilities — groups traditionally excluded from decision-making. CONNECT actively ensures their voices shape conservation and development outcomes.
Human-Wildlife Coexistence
Through community-based approaches, CONNECT has helped reduce human-wildlife conflict in key landscapes, developing practical strategies that protect both livelihoods and biodiversity.
Landscape Restoration
Over 1,000 trees have been planted and degraded landscapes restored through community-led restoration programs, rebuilding ecosystems that sustain livelihoods for generations.
